Over on TikTok, users often post an audio and encourage others to use it in their videos. A licensed therapist using the handle @recollectedself made an audio track encouraging fellow women to show things they have to do because you're a woman in order to feel safe.

There are currently 555 videos using the audio.

Is this being turned into (not so) covert advertising for that door stopper gizmo, or do people actually use those?

If you want to stop your door from being kicked in, a $20 extended brass plate with 4-in screws that go back into the studs, rather than the door frame, will work better than any fancy gizmo. Most reputable locksmith places will sell these instead of trying to upsell you to the world's strongest deadbolt which will pop out of your balsa wood door frame.

Bought a bunch of those safety keychains (also work as multitool/bottle opener) to give away to in-laws. Beats the pepper spray I've been giving out. Those doorstoppers are great for hotel travelling where you can't put in deep screws.
