ProZD personal top 10 list

SungWon "ProZD" Cho has been producing hilarious skits featuring his great voicework for years. Now—after numerous requests—he's released a compilation of his favorites with some backstory. (Watching his own work is evidently quite painful for him.) My Top 10 Favorite Skits (SLYT)

Which sketches make the cut? Which get left out? The answers may surprise you! (Was definitely hoping for one of the dairy cow card game sketches, like Card games with voiceover lines for each card)

It feels like I have listened to this for dozens of hours already but I can't put my finger on it.

Shocking omissions:

when you start a new game and meet the character you know is going to betray you

when everyone forgives the bad guy even though he does horrible things

when you think you're an expert after watching a tv cooking show

tumblr (maybe a little inside baseball, but the way it escalates...)

social media feeds (the reveal!)

father tries to connect with nerdy son pt. 2 (the last two seconds!)

Gutted and disappointed that the list fails to contain 'my cat' at any position when it should so very clearly be number 1.

Glad you linked to Peter Pan - that will always be my favorite.

These were some fun picks - I love so many of his bits. Still, I thought my worst nightmare was listening to someone explain what makes something funny. Turns out it’s someone telling you what makes something they created funny to themself.

My favorite thing about ProZD is his mastery of the little details, often at the very end, to get the extra laugh. Just to give a couple examples:

In the subreddit for a hobby one the little *scoff* when he says Dasani is pitch perfect, makes the simple joke funnier. Everyone knows that scoff.

In the same sketch- the "not again" in that downcast tone at the end. Unnecessary to the sketch but such a perfect addition. The character can't help himself, but he knows what he has become. I snicker every time.

In the boss after doing all sidequests one, the joke is made, we're laughing, and he throws in the pinecone joke at the end just to put the icing on the cake. Bwahahaha. (Also you don't need to know this to enjoy the sketch but the 900 Pinecones is both a Genshin Impact and a Zelda BotW joke, as well as just generally referencing the pointless sidequest trope. ProZD is also great at making his sketches both accessible to a general audience and full of in-jokes.)

This is the hero who set out to parody video games and accidentally-on-purpose constructed an entire continuity of the King Dragon Saga.

My favorite pick missing from the top 10 is trying to guess anime characters' ages. The concluding hitting-eject -nnooooOPE! is often quoted for many WTF media moments in my circle!

Aaahhh his favorite is also my husband's favorite, this was so satisfying to watch! But I was surprised not to see "really good turn in a card game" in the mix, that one is brilliant
