A few short scifi/fantasy stories about dark situations that turn out surprisingly well. The day nearly everyone at Evil-Mart called in sick, and the sequel. One person who gets bitten by a zombie.... yet never turns. And some survivors of the robot apocalypse getting an unexpected invitation from their new overlords.

Oh, the Evil-Mart author is my friend from way back in comics fandom! Dyce is delightful, Dyce's entire family is delightful!

I strongly recommend her entire writing collection, it's pretty much all a delight.

All of these stories were so good! I guffawed at Mx. Frantique's origin story, and the sequel made me tear up a little.

Locked down in isolation with covid (yes I got vaccinated, at least I'm not in a hospital), half way thru the first Evil-Mart and I have to stop because I'm laughing so hard I'm coughing too hard. So many great lines! Thanks so much for this!

I LOVE the Robot one. Like, I am thisclose to sending a link in to the dudes at The Last Leg.

I am also somewhat cheered to realize that "hey, I have a wire and pins in my knee now, I bet I'd qualify."

These are great. And potentially quite useful. After dinner, I plan to start listing all the ways that I could be considered essential to the well-being of Mr. Structure, who has an implantable cardiac device, just in case my right knee, which is titanium (or something like that), doesn't qualify me.
