I guessed 300 Euro/case, and thought that was too cheap. She was really lucky.

I saw this video when she first posted it and was immediately jealous. Those are some amazing cases.

Her last name means war, and she got cold war boxes, one even with refrigeration. Love Happy Kampfers! Nerds are the best!

Love their videos! I saw a hint of this on Instagram but missed the reveal. Who desperately needs an old spy case now?!

As an entertainment professional, those are some really nice cases - the ergonomics and build quality are amazing. We like to joke about German engineering, but that's why it's a thing. Wow. It's kind of a shame that those boxes aren't being repurposed for touring rather than a workshop, but I can't deny her the delight!

In my time as a stagehand I saw quite a few clever setups along these lines -- stack the overbuilt boxes, open up the lids, and presto! it's a dressing room. Or a stage manager's desk. Or a sound studio. But these things are a level above that in organization, features, and sheer slickness. I would have such fun organizing my tools! (Nerd!)

I love her little dance of delight as she approaches the boxes!
Are these boxes East German or West German in origin? Or are they new enough to for that distinction to have disappeared by the time they were built?

I'm thinking way more recent than the fall of the Berlin wall. That Siemens power supply is discontinued now, but the date on the data sheet for it is 2015

The newer version of it does indeed seem to be retailing for round about 100 Euro.
Had been thinking the fridge would be for film storage, but that's well into the digital era as well...

I think the fridge is literally to keep the milk and maybe cake/ drinks cold. I say that because one of the other cases was literally labeled "coffee machine." I guessed 100 euro but didn't think it really would be - 2500 for those is a crazy crazy steal. Sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole, though with no love yet.

My brother used to listen in to East German Army radio transmissions. He says it was the worst, most boring, job he has ever had. Coffee and cakes are really needed for jobs like that.
