"Aline", a delightful animated music video directed by Wes Anderson as part of The French Dispatch (Fanfare), featuring Christophe's Aline sung by Jarvis Cocker, and illustrated by Javi Aznarez.

Fanfare for the movie, incidentally.

That was excellent and very fun. I didn’t recognize the name Jarvis Cocker or his voice but instantly noted that the yellow suited character moved like the guy from the Pulp videos.

I loves me some Jarvis Cocker, but — this will always be Christophe’s song.

The French makes this not my favorite of Jarvis's, but what a nice actual music video.

The video is illustrated by Javi Aznarez, who has some other material related to the film on his website, including posters you can buy

I loved this - and absolutely worth several re-views to see all the in jokes! Jarvis Cocker has lived in Paris on and off since the 1990s - and permanently since 2003. He often played French music on The Sunday Service programmes he did for BBC 6 music.

The original of "Aline" was released in 1965 by Christophe - fun fact: Aline was the name of his dentist's assistant.

How good is Jarvis Cocker's French accent? Are their any native French speakers reading who can comment on this?

How good is Jarvis Cocker's French accent?

Well now I can answer that: Meh. A solid Anglo accent.
Great video though!
