The Mars Exploration Program Landing Sites

The Mars Exploration Program Landing Sites has kept me enthralled for most of the day. Explore the surface with a beautiful scalable map or argue over a landing site. Personally, I'm leaving a geocache here. (Warning: circa 1994 web design combined with possible browser crashing applets)

Unfortunately I couldn't bother with the VRML plugins, but I can only wonder.

There is more about the rovers at MarsNews. And, of course, you cannot miss the Mars Society web site. Did you know about their rover building contest?

It's a pity that budget curbs slow down the Mars program. I'm waiting for live broadcast from Mars!
