I've spent some of my COVID time making copies of Egyptian furniture, so this is right squarely up my alley.

The colouring book images bring to my mind the Tristan quilt in the V&A (though it's about 300 years younger). The gallery has nearly 30 shots of the different story-telling panels. I find the graphic style to be as fresh as any web comic you'll see today.

I love this this practice of recreating historical artifacts in the ways they may have been originally made. It reminds me of when I saw someone perform Beowulf in the original, and memorized. The performance was fine, but it was the artist’s talk about what he learned in the process of trying to work/perform like an 11c bard that was so fascinating. But he didn’t have coloring book merch. :)

YES, the Bayeux Tapestry coloring book is available in digital form! And it has now been purchased and is on my iPad and I'm so excited about coloring these quirky little men and their boats :D
