The Happy Tree Friends

The Happy Tree Friends are cute and well intentioned, but clumsily violent. If you prefer cartoons of a less morbid nature, then there might be a mondo mini show for you, like the more NewsFilter friendly This Modern World.
Good lord is that psychotic. Great stuff. And yes, the theme song is evil.

It just goes to show, broadband content doesn't need broadband navigation. I think the plain-jane navigation is much more useful than their full-screen Flash navigation, even if it isn't as whiz-bang.

I was hooked until the 3rd time it forced me to sit through that dumb Tekken intro.

Ditto.
Perhaps one regulation to enact (in this current world of net regulations) should be to pre-inform a surfer of the commercial content to follow.
When I watch TV I know what's coming depending on it being network or cable. When I flip through a magazine I know what to expect.
While I understand that many web sites need to be economically feasable, the existance of so many unencumbered, non-commercial sites in the same universe calls for there being a notice that following content will contain commercial appeals.

mkn, many thanks for an uncluttered list. I was bummed out when they started to hide the previous shows (on the heavy flash version of their site). Despite being a bit bland at times, I've enjoyed a few gems from Like News such as Gun Control and Love Bug. Hilarious stuff...

The Happy Tree Friends was very tight in its style and animation but I thought the writing was kind of lacking. There were a lot of funny bits but nothing brilliant. They're kind of like second rate Itchy & Scratchy cartoons without being as clever in the gory excess dept.
This is the problem with the majority of web comics, cartoons, etc. that I've encountered: There are plenty of great artists out there, but not enough good writers to help them make something truly great.

I'd like to see this crew vs. the Teletubbies in a Texas Steel Cage Death Match.
