Frontwoman Nai Palm shared with me the impetus behind the design. An earlier draft iteration of this post had a lot of context about Nai Palm and her music. As an Australian, when I listen to her music, I hear a lot of bush sounds, nature mimicry. Many of her songs are about nature. The song, And We Go Gentle is about moths, while Chivalry is Not Dead riffs on the mating rituals of leopard slugs. As a Melbourne born Australian, I connect with the wit and whimsical humour of the band's visual references.

Considering the early traumas self-taught Naomi Saalfield endured, I am astounded at how she has created this artistic life for herself with her band of classically trained musicians. As she says, "sometimes the only thing that can really heal you is music.”
