"Wow, a cat! Or, maybe a dog?"

At last! After a weird series of issues finding a streaming home that resulted in it almost being a VRV exclusive before they backed out (they're still listed as its home on the show's website), Bee and Puppycat: Lazy in Space will be airing as a Netflix series on September 6, 2022. Here's the trailer. it seems to also include remakes of the original episodes with updated animation! Previously: 2013, 2014, 2018, Fanfare
Ack, I can't watch the trailer 'cause I'm on a train with so-so wifi, but rest assured that I am soooooo excited!

Natasha Allegri is awesome! She used to have a web blog called girl-a-day that had tons of cool character designs. I'm pretty sure it was she that came up with the gender switching Fionna and Cake idea for Adventure Time ages ago.

Never been a fan of that style, but I'm intrigued. I'll have to reactive my Netflix account and binge it.

Um, I love this show so much and this is the best news I have received in a while (no offense to my pregnant and engaged friends).

I want all my pregnant and engaged friends to know that this news is far more exciting than their news.

Admittedly the FPP is a bit low on information on the show for people not already familiar with it. This might help you out:
Bee & Puppycat was created by Natasha Allegri, part of the group of creative young animators that arose from Adventure Time. She was the one who originally drew Fionna and Cake. She made the original Bee & Puppycat, I think it was back in 2013.
Bee is a young woman who seems unable to keep a job. She's a little dim but kind-hearted and hopeful. Puppycat is from outer space. Bee lives in (apparently) a normal human kind of world. She has friends in Deckard and his sister Cass. Her landlord is Cardamom, who is a little kid.
Bee makes ends meet by taking "magic temp jobs" in outer space with Puppycat's help. It's a riff on magical girl anime, each job gives her a uniform, usually something pretty silly. They're all on weird little planets, and usually end up dangerous.
B&PC has a very silly and weird style, and is extremely charming throughout. While there does seem to be an overarching story (which sneaks up on you), a lot of it is just drifting from day to day in Bee and PC's life. While the space temp jobs are obviously magical and unique, Bee's normal life seems weirder the more of it you find out about it, like when you find out about Cardamom's mom. This culminates at the end of the (original) show, where you learn surprising (and awesome) things about Bee that have been heavily foreshadowed up to this point, but it's been easy to put those things aside as just more of the show's wacky charm.
So, please give Lazy in Space a try when it finally makes it to Netflix. There have been leaks but I've been careful to stay away from them. It promises to be great.

This makes me happy, the existing Bee & Puppycat was always fun to watch just too little of it, so more is great.
I quite like the recent-ish wave of cartoons in weird fantasy type settings: Star Butterfly, Steven Universe, Bravest Warriors, Adventure Time, Infinity Train, etc.

Bee and Puppycat is on Netflix now! They added stuff (Toast shows up a lot earlier!), condensed stuff, are foreshadowing Bee's difference a little more heavily, but it's still as charming as ever! Go see go see!
They kept everyone's voice, although Cardamom's VO is older now. The older voice actually suits him a little better, maybe!
