That was a punch in the gut, but I'm glad I read it.

The title takes me back to that episode of M*A*S*H where they do an oophorectomy on Radar's pet bunny so they can do a pregnancy test without the rabbit dying.

It's not a full bibliography but here is a video of an OBGYN talking about a lot of the historical pregnancy tests, including how accurate they were.
