it's kind of like Suspiria but for synth nerds with perms

The year is very very definitely 1971, and these are Rare Moog Dancers.

Excellent dancers, like probably from the royal ballet company, with limited rehearsal time, but that period, I thought it was a clip from Laugh In at first.

You had me at Suspiria. You had me even further with synth nerds. You kinda lost me at perms, but then you reeled me back in with the ATV bumper and then I watched the whole video. It reminds me of something my high school friends would have done with the camcorder at one in the morning after a night of too much caffeine, only with slightly higher production values. I love it.

Seems a bit cruel to make them do wind sprints in the middle of a routine (at ~3:38)

I loved the bit with the cameras. And I can just imagine how bemused the camera operators must have been to be included in the dance number.

For early 70s variety show post-psychedelic weirdness, the clip in the front page post reminds me of this clip for Ballet Zoom, Cats. (No, not that Cats...)

I would have been happy if the development of technology had stopped exactly at this point!

I like the dancing cameras at about 4:00.
I wonder who wrote the music?

I was hoping for Daleks at about the two minute mark. While the cameras were a nice touch, they were not Daleks.

I expected a laugh, but honestly, this was kind of fun. Some parts of it are very silly, but overall I'll bet it was pretty hip for the time. My son is a contemporary (avant garde) dancer, and I will have to get his take on it.
Like others here, I particularly liked the dance of the camera cranes. Very clever!
