Holy crap that was an emotional roller coaster. No wonder I'm a wreck after this year*.

*and everything since 2016**.

**Which I acknowledge is a glaring sign of how privileged I am. Seeing this is one of the better things to come from the shitshow.

Very glad that the video touched on countries and regions, i.e., comprising the Global South, that always get short shrift in U.S. general media. Now want to circle back and learn more about that win in India.

Around 30 seconds on climate change, plus kinda positively spinning overpopulation and Biden's continued support for fossil fuels. And Lula's win hopefully helps. Around 30 seconds on rights issues like Row and Iran. Inflation of course.

It otherwise focuses largely upon "news you can safely ignore", especially if you do not live in the US or UK. It's hard for this format to mention anything more subtle or with impacts lying further in the future.

2022? You mean 2016 Part VII?

Some of that stuff really felt like it happened a decade ago.
I guess a couple more years and we will get used to living in interesting times
