Rush, just Rush That is all.
Somehow, my joke of "girls can't hear Rush" took on a life of its own. I forget why I made it in the first place.
We do often reference "In the Mood" because it has the lyric of "Hey baby, it's a quarter to eight" and then a line or so later, "Hey baby, the hour is late." So it's ... 7:45 at night? That's ... not late. But whenever we get tired early, we refer to it as "Rush late."
(Also it's Canada and it gets dark early?)
Look, I actually love Rush but I am going to make fun of Rush because that is part of loving Rush.

I mean even members of Rush have joked about having as many as three women in the audience at their bigger concerts, and how their fans are all drummers and English majors

Missing
pretty much any Rush song that isn't Tom Sawyer. There are exceptions obviously (I heard Spirit of Radio in there, also Limelight, maybe one or two others ). But in general, I feel I need to point out that this band have twenty studio albums all of which contain songs that are not called Tom Sawyer except, of course, Moving Pictures which contains six songs that are not Tom Sawyer.
Stop being so f***ing lazy, culture.

That honor is now held by Carry On Wayward Son, at least in my area. That song is the glue that holds all of rock music together.

Oh ha ha. My son attended his first Rush concert in utero, FWIW. (He's twenty now and suffered no ill effects except that he's a drummer.)

One of the neat things about attending Rush concerts was that there was never a line for the ladies' room.
