Activist and photographer Alicia Bruce has documented the residents and landscape of Menie in Scotland, detailing 16 years of Donald Trump’s impact on the area where he built a golf course. Her work honours the community who have ‘refused to bow down, sell up or be pushed around by Donald Trump’.
Mike: ‘Trump said my house was a pigsty when they tried for compulsory purchase orders. Well, it’s my pigsty. I said it’s my home and they won’t put me out of it. There’s been no positives. He’s ruined the dunes, he’s ruined everything.
Moira: ‘Americans need to see Trump as we see him here. We recognise him as a dishonest, untrustworthy, unreliable, tax-dodging imposter’

Don’t worry Moira, most of us do see him that way. I spend a few months a year in Scotland and I will never play a Trump course there or in the US.

Mr Trump's golf course had "destroyed" the sand dune system, causing permanent habitat loss
It was part of the Foveran Links* Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). And because of TFG, it's no longer a SSSI.

*: links: (short for link-ground): a Scots word for the sandy ground near the shore. Because the links were frequently commons, it allowed people to spend recreation time there freely, hence the regrettable rise of golf. It does not mean coastal golf course.

Americans do recognize him correctly. Many of us vote against him because of it, and many vote for him because of it.

I still remember the roasting TFG got on Scottish twitter when he said that Scotland was "taking their country back" after the Brexit referendum. Over two-thirds of Scottish voters had voted to remain in the EU, and they lost no time in telling him what an empty-headed numpty he was.
