There Is No Game

If you don't want any spoilers at all, here's the Steam link for There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension [$13]. This Guardian review has mild spoilers, and Wikipedia has even more spoilers. But I found real delight in watching these two nerds at Animators VS Gamers do a full play through [3h43m]. Their joy was infectious, and I solved some puzzles before they did which made me feel smart.
This lets play by Secret Sleepover Society (two of the folks from Drawfee) was pretty good.
This is way off topic, but Drawfee's Drawtectives series is very fun imo.

This is a hard game to really "spoil", but on the other hand you really want to go into this game cold. It's a single-serving delight, for sure, but it's a delight nonetheless.

My daughter and I have no overlapping game interests except for this - we still haven’t solved it but will pick it up and try for a bit every now and then because it is just so much fun. Both of us are absolute spoiler fiends in our own games but for this one, there is real pleasure in trying to solve it without help.

I enjoyed this when it was listed as one of the best games that Guardian journalist played that year (2020). I commend it to you for ... silly, fun and puzzling reasons.

Hippybear, thanks for posting this, and daHIFI and Western Infidels, thanks for telling me about the jam edition. I just played it and it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to the full-length version.
Although it's very different, people who enjoyed There Is No Game might also enjoy Detective Mimo. It's available for iOs and Android and perhaps other formats. If you like offbeat point-and-click adventures, I'd encourage you to download it without reading anything about it.

Awww.... I thought this was a sequel that I has somehow missed.
Strong recommend on this game; its surreal and fun and that's about all I can really say....
