Amazing. With all those conditions it's like he was playing in "just some guy" mode. I love self-imposed goals in open-world games. They seem to re-capture the spirit of play in a way that story mode lacks.

Sometimes I watch Vrexia's streams on Twitch, and some of the deaths are fucking infuriating, like those stupid collision glitches when he walks into junked car that's just sitting there. I'm always impressed with how this guy remembers extremely obscure details about each location. I have no interest in revisiting Fallout 4 these days, but Fallout 76 is surprisingly good.

Following our interview, Vrexia reached out: he'd had to crunch the numbers. "2000ish hours, that's how many the latest run took. 13395 hours spent on the game total according to Steam: I had to calculate it, the curiosity!"
13395 hours spent on the game total - if you worked a 40 hour week and have somewhere like 4 weeks off a year, that is equivalent to like 6.5 years of work. I’m guessing there is idle time there included (but hey in 6.5 years of work I can-only imagine my own idle tine…)

As someone who just finished my fourth full run-through and tried to manage a no-hit run just through Vault 81 in order to avoid the incurable* mole rat disease—which took way too long, was too little fun, and I still had to reload a save 6 or 7 times—I doff my +1 PER cap.
*Yes, you can cure it, but it wasn’t that kind of run.

Our society's priorities are askew. I would prefer to think of it as "Man, all that time I spent working, and I could've been playing Fallout 4 instead!"

This was always one of those "Here, let me correct the story for you, Bethesda..." moments for me.

See, I view the challenges biggest hurdle is that they had to play Fallout 4 at all. New Vegas or Bust! (If you're not playing the original two with lost content modded back in. Or original Wasteland.)
