Megaraptorid dinosaur may have originated in Australia

The fossil is predicted to be between 121.4 to 118 million years old.

If anyone was wondering where Australia was 120 million years ago, then here is a fun globe to play with. Despite being within the Antarctic Circle at the time, Victoria probably sported some temperate forests and lots of dinosaurs.

This is cool. I didn't know dinosaur fossils were all over the place down there.

To be fair, everywhere was making scary animals. We don’t call them “tyrant lizards” because they were exceptionally cuddly, after all.
