"Improv Theology"

As a former improviser, I love this so much and would go if I could. I seriously wonder what the shows are like, though. I hope they're fun? What do they make fun of in a sermon? I would have liked to have had that covered.

Not only had people gotten out of the habit of going to services, Phillips said, but many were questioning whether Christianity was still relevant to them — at times, viewing the church as exclusionary or unwelcoming.
Improv person: "All right, we're going to get started, but first we need, from the audience, a kind of church."
Audience member: "one that's inclusive and welcoming to everyone."
Improv person: "Yes, yes, I think I heard 'a church with vending machines.'"

Honestly our world would make a lot more sense if it turns out to be the result of God and Satan playing a game of "yes, and".

Really good preaching and really good standup comedy are indistinguishable from one another.

I do miss The God And Devil Show, and wish it had been archived, but sadly it was Flash.
