She's incredible. So tight and loose at the same time, consummate pro.

I absolutely needed that. Powerless and Promiscuous are two of my forever bops.

This is so great. She's so charming. I saw her back on her I'm Like a Bird tour apparently 1000 years ago now with several friends from university residence.

I remain confounded by her shirt. Is it... wet? Is it made to look wet? Why? Just... why?

I watched this when it popped up on my feed this morning. I've never counted myself a fan, but I love seeing pop stars show up on Tiny Desk to see how they approach it.

This was great. She was charming, there was obvious thought and energy put into the arrangements and the backing band was fantastic. Plus bonus Can-Con. Thanks for sharing. As always!

(I still don't think I'll ever carve out 3 hours for the Brendan O'Brian interview)

sauril: I post a lot of videos and you aren't required to watch any of them. Although if you're interested in music production as an art form, listening to Brendan talk for a few hours is pretty rewarding.

I'm going to echo that she was utterly charming, the band was fantastic, the backing vocalists amazing. I'm not a huge fan of her music but I could watch this all day.

One of the things that I love most about the tiny desk concerts is that the tight quarters and imperfect environment for making live music forces artists to change what and how they do what they do, usually with an end result that I often prefer, or at least like very differently, than studio albums and traditional live venues.

I did also quite enjoy the new song she had as part of her set. And wow! What a set! She opened with my favorite song from Loose, so that won me over instantly.

And yes, what was up with her shirt! Did she soak it down before she went into the room? Obviously she'd planned with the black bra but that is a weird choice. Anyone have any explanations?

I remain confounded by her shirt. Is it... wet? Is it made to look wet?

This shirt went semi-viral when a tiktoker wore it to Coachella this spring. Looks like the designer has gotten a lot of other famouses to wear it, too. It's made to look wet. I think it's made of silicone or something like that. When Nelly said her 20-ish-yo daughter did the creative direction the choice kind of fell into place for me.

Welcome back, Nelly. We've missed you.
