I Don't Want to Be Alone in Memphis

Austin Lucas [previously] is a country punk performer whose soulful and angry music is quite something. Anyway, they have relatively recently come out as queer and trans.

A few songs to get you started (outside of what's the in the previously -- "Drive" and "You're Already Dead" are worth a listen/watch:

Black Me Out
Sink Florida Sink
Alone on Christmas It helps to be familiar with "Alone in Memphis"

The later two have kind of dumb and silly AI generated images, but it's a little like AI fed on Chuck Tingle.

Also, Reinventing Against Me!

Bonus: "Trans Country Artists You Need to Know" from Country Queer.

I saw Austin Lucas a couple years ago at a queer country music show at an Iowa bar and I was blown away by the song Immortal Americans.

Interesting, thanks. Around country music..

I've previously noted the awesome cover of After The Gold Rush by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris.

Also, Me And That Man rocks, try Angel Of Light with Myrkur, and Witches Don't Fall in Love with Kristoffer Rygg.
