I will just leave this here.

Back in 1978 Shatner appeared at my college. He was paid for “An Evening with Captain Kirk.” What he delivered was several monologues from Shakespeare and Rostand followed by a 5-minute Q&A that he clearly found irritating. The school later sued him and won.

At a reunion not long ago I spoke with alums who remembered the evening well. When the show was over, Shatner was given a ride to the nearest airport (two hours away) by two young female students (friends of attendees who were doing off-campus studies) who spent the night with him at the airport hotel. (Cue: Where No Man Has Gone Before jokes). Once thought apocryphal, the incident has been verified by multiple people including one of the women involved.

Sadly they did not report on his hair.

Ohmigosh, I know Ken! How unexpected. He's truly terrific and very, very funny. I remember laughing all the way through Remission Impossible, his 2006?2007? entry into the Crazy8s film festival. His current success as a director has been wonderful to see, he earned it.

Fun fact: he's one of the writers of the monologue/essay that Donald Sutherland beautifully recited when the Winter Olympics came to Vancouver.

Hey, I know Hegan as well, sort of. He was one of my instructors at film school, though that was a while ago now. Also known for another short in a similar vein, Farley Mowat Ate My Brother, which I cannot seem to find online.

(Although for me, the funniest thing about Ken is that he recently had a baby, and his Facebook feed is all full of cute baby stuff now, which is SO unlike him.)

This claims it's an untrue story, but that's difficult to prove - how can they be so sure?
