Saturday Night Live: The Game has received little attention on BoardGameGeek, and but little attention on its 2010 release. If games aren't your thing, you can collect the SNL action figures. Perhaps fine art is more your thing? Last but not least, for a view of the panoply of SNL-iana, you can visit a famed online purveyor of resold corporate schlock. posted by cupcakeninja (4 comments total) 2 users marked this as a favorite

I can not figure out that Fine Art America site at all, but I will note that if you remove the "painting" tag you can see a bunch more illustrations of past SNL legends. It's adorkable listening to the BGG podcast and hearing the random bits of SNL trivia and memes that they know. Like the game seems like it's maybe not that great, but it is an excuse or some targeted SNL nostalgia which it seems the hosts are enjoying.

see i’m pretty disappointed that the snl board game was just some trivia thing cause if i got to design something like that i’d make it a battlestar galactica-style semi-co-op where one or two players are secretly trying to sabotage the show without blowing their cover chevy chase is always a cylon

Man I can almost see how that would work:
  • The youngest cast member keeps corpsing
  • The musical guest wants to play Radio Radio
  • Uh oh somebody dropped an f bomb
I think you need some kind of risk/reward mechanism—screwups can pay off with higher ratings but push it too far and you’ll get cancelled anyway.

Hmm.
