Wrestling in Paris (in 2017) Written in 2018, an overthinking of the freestyle wrestling championships in Paris, where class and partisan musings give way to riveting descriptions of a sport few in America follow, but maintains broad global appeal.

Great story :-) I've never had much interest in wrestling and I guess I've always looked down on it as a bit of a redneck sport. The way this story describes it, though, is fascinating and interesting.

Writer lost me here: "...Helen Maroulis is essentially an obscene Nintendo character..." No. You're trying too hard. Wrestling is an interesting sport, the article, less so.

As someone who really liked doing wrestling (the sport) and cannot into wrestling (the men's soap opera). This article did make me smile.
