The Anime Where a Man
Yes, the overview of My Life After I Became a Dummy Head Mic One Morning is accurate. No, they don't explain how a school girl got her hands on a $9K microphone. The image of a man used is This Man. You can find the uninterrupted song here.
Explanation Point is a YouTube channel about anime, mostly. Similar videos include The Anime Where Men Watch You Sleep. More serious videos include The Fascist Soccer Show.

Of course they do. A dead salaryman reincarnated into it. How do you get things?

Wow, I'm fascinated by this Neumann mic oddity I've never encountered before. Calling this thing a mic is like calling a piñata a candy dispenser.

Episode title:"I'm going to be a Dummy Head Microphone."
Okay maybe this will be a soft anime about sound recording...

There was a theory floating around back in the day that when the economic downturn hit Japan in the late 90s, the sudden drop in disposable income meant that the only people who would still consistently spend money on anime were the perverts, and the market pivoted to primarily service that audience.
I think about that theory a lot.

Japan also had a short, sharp postwar baby boom that ended in 1950 (suspiciously close to when they legalized abortion in ~1949).
Shifting this FRED population graph 10 years to the left puts the age 15-44 peak right at 1991.

I'm currently watching Laid-Back Camp, which is about girls enjoying camping. OMG, camp "hot pot" sounds so good. If enjoying the night sky while eating a delicious meal makes me a "pervert," then sign me up.
