That is incredibly silly. Which is actually the heart and soul of a parade, so I approve.

What came to my mind was “gee, those older guys are trotting along briskly for quite a while … in what looks like pretty hot clothes.—and they still look happy” So, like many sportsball events, it’s probably harder than it looks (and equally meaningful!).

This is a delightful eccentricity.

The original Gnats that the Red Arrows flew weren't much bigger than wheelbarrows. Okay, I mean, yes, of course they're bigger, but if you get to see one up close, they're surprisingly tiny for a jet aircraft
