88x31 Web Buttons from the Netscape/Geocities Era

Here is a collection of more than 700 88x31 web buttons from the 1990's and 2000's, including the famous "Netscape NOW" and "Internet Explorer" buttons as well as various other buttons for websites of past and present. All were rescued from a now defunct http://harrypagerubbish.webs.com/buttons just before it disappeared without warning. These buttons are an historic example of advertising in the earlier days of the World Wide Web. Enjoy these buttons and use them to your liking.

One I made at a time that web development and cross-browser compatibility was getting really frustrating.

I had a brief rush of nostalgia when I saw the button for Blue's News (which is still going, apparently)

I would suggest adding a CW to this post given the large number of blinking buttons.

Oh I have a huge zip archive I downloaded of a bunch of these from geocities webrings. Wonder if it was from that site that disappeared without warning. If so, maybe it would be helpful to share the big folder of them.

The one which says BAN TIME TRAVEL "NOW" is originally by me. I am delighted that anybody still remembers it.

A lovely touch from qntm's page: "time travel wioll haven be invented". I can't find my Streetmentioner's (it probably willan on-fall through a wormhole), but I think I can work it out from context.
