Let's get unlost

Seems fun, but the map grid won’t lock-down to my phone screen. Every time I tap and drag a tile, not only does the tile move with my finger, but the entire map also moves as if I was scrolling it.

Could definitely get addicted to this! What's a "good" number of moves?

neat! I just wish it had an option to turn off the locking of a tile once it's in the right place. feels like cheating.
I wonder why they're picking one specific spot for the day? I guess that gives a Wordle vibe, everyone solving the same puzzle.

I did it in 27 moves. I feel like if one were "serious" about getting a low score, and don't mind sucking all the fun out of it, one could get a really low score by just dragging the tiles around without moving them to see where things line up, and then after they've "figured it out" just moving the tiles each into the right place. I guess there'd still be a little bit of optimizing how you swap to get the fewest moves.

I did Bahrain in eighteen moves, but I am both a fan of maps and of jigsaw puzzles, so I had advantages.

I did Libreville in 15 which I think is about as good as it gets. The first time, I didn't notice I started with one green check mark. It makes it a lot easier!

If you like puzzles, I highly recommend upping the number of tiles.
And I second the wish to hide the green checkmarks!

« I played Scrambled Maps and unscrambled the map of Libreville, Gabon in 40 moves! » on my iPhone I did a long press and released the tile where it needed to go. But I had to fiddle with all tiles at first, to start with this game. Fun!

I managed Libreville, Gabon in 21 moves but could probably do better now that I understand how it works. Not that I needed more daily games to get addicted to, but this is fun!

Oh! You can choose your own city! I chose a nearby one with a river running through it and it still took me 15 moves.

I unscrambled the map of Libreville, Gabon in 56 moves (6 x 6 map). I admit I did start with a 3x3 to get the hang of how the game works, which felt a little like cheating, but it's amazing how much harder a 6x6 is. I did manage to find my home town and it still took me 39 moves though :-(. In my defense, that part of the city is mostly golf courses and canals, but still ...
