[CW: strong, bleak/dark/violent humour, profanity] Frankie Boyle's American Autopsy was recorded shortly after the 2016 US election, and includes contributions from guests Sara Pascoe, Katherine Ryan, Michelle Wolf, Desiree Burch, and (unfortunately) Richard Osman. The show is based around three propositions concerning America, voted on by Americans in the audience. Link originally from a late 2016 post.

I thought Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club was mediocre, but that’s not worth an “unfortunately”. Is this something I would need a “Twitter” to understand?

Apparently Osman told celebrities to stay out of politics:
British author and presenter Richard Osman has hit out at politically vocal celebrities, telling them to stop spouting their political opinions because “nobody is listening to you.”

Let's end this derail, mmm?

Instead, as a B+ person, I donate blood platelets in order to secretly spread my political ideas to unsuspecting recipients (and get free cookies)!

Let's end this derail, mmm?

yes because it is interfering with my desire to talk about that Mary J. Blige interview with Clinton

I'd forgotten all about that, is that when the word 'cringe' was invented

Let's end this derail, mmm?

It’s only a derail if it wasn’t addressing something in the original post- more of a dead-end siding? But yes, the topic has been addressed, and we can get back to the primary topic.
