Koala intruder in bedroom startles couple getting home from work. Something soft and cuddly on a bed can be a welcome sight if that something is inanimate, like a pillow — but in the early hours of Wednesday morning an Adelaide couple were forced to contend with a friendly, if unexpected, intruder.
I guess, if you’re going to have home intruders, you could do a lot worse.

Ms Rufino, who is from Brazil, said she was so startled by the sight of the animal clambering onto the bedside drawers that she "forgot my English" and instantly resorted to her first language, Portuguese.

Even better:
“Brunno tried to hold him with some clothes and he grabbed the clothes and I called for the koala rescue and I forgot how to speak in English and I started to speak Spanish – and I don't speak Spanish," Ms Rufino said.

Based on updated information from elsewhere, they should make sure it's really a Koala.

As someone who is currently dealing with errant mice off and on: Wild animals outside are adorable and wonderful and I love them. Wild animals inside the house: terrifying.
I still would love to cuddle a koala under controlled circumstances, although I'd rather cuddle a wombat if I had to choose.
