This week Otherworld released Episode 107: The Expedition, which features the story of a young woman and her friend spotting a strange creature near her family's ranch land in east Texas. They enlist the help of the Bigfoot Field Research Organization, an organization dedicated to field investigations into sightings of squatches, as well as documenting stories and evidence in the extensive BFRO Database, and cataloging the latest in Bigfoot hypotheses and research. If you are up for some camping and hiking, a field research expedition might be right for you! Or if want a bit lighter Bigfoot podcast fare, check out the Bigfeets podcast, brought to you by the incredible comedy writers on 1-900 HOT DOG, the absolute last comedy website on the internet. I was camping during the Pandemic in Northwoods Wisconsin at my second favorite Wisconsin campsite. I was there alone because there wasn't any coverage so my Reason for Living had to stay home to work. I had just gotten the hammock adjusted to my liking when an older guy stopped his truck by my spot, wanting to chat. I'm amiable, it was a beautiful day and I thought maybe he needed directions somewhere.
He asked if I'd heard anything unusual. I must have inadvertently given him the code or something in my response because he looked at me knowingly and proceeded to explain to me, for the next 45 minutes, what kind of Bigfoot "sign" to look for, how they "nest," their family structure and migratory habits.
I was enthralled.
After a while I asked the question on everyone's mind.
"We live in an age of wonders, miracles and amazing technology. I can answer my doorbell anywhere in the world, pot is legal 20 miles away and they've flown a helicopter on Mars. Why can't we get nice, clear photographs of Bigfoot?"
"That" he said, looking me straight in the eye "Is just how good they are."

And all the while avoiding learning how to make fire or flint hand axes -- which shows one just how slick and advanced they actually are.

I really want BFRO to be pronounced “beef-row” and not the boring and obvious “bee eff are oh.”

Hey I'M a bigfoot expert, pay ME $500 to go camping with me! I won't feed you and you need your own car and your own gear. Don't worry, although Bigfoot is camera shy (he can smell the electromagnetic radiation you know), it's easy to spot signs of them just a mile away from a car-accessible trailhead.

Hear tell them Bigfoots can track your cellphone emissions now. Feller came back from 3025 by way of the time cube and implanted tracker chips in all the Bigfoots. Buddy of mine heard it from the guy just before he went back. When my buddy got back from a trip to the John, the dude was gone. Back to the future, I guess.
