Who will go in 2025?

[tw celebrity deaths] The annual Death List has been posted for 2025. What famous people will probably drop in the coming year? Only 6 of the predicted 50 died in 2024 (the worst prediction in 30 years); the record was 2020, when 20 died. (Previously from 2010)
This was repulsive 15 years ago and it hasn’t got any better.

They can get snarky with their Descriptions; see Louis Farrakhan last year, for example. (Note it is a UK-produced web site.)

the next time I work myself into some outrage about something I'll have to reflect on the moment I clicked a link that featured a list of names of ostensibly famous people who might die in 2025
if I had time to do that,
anyway, enough internet for me today

I think I heard speculation about Mel Brooks on the radio.
I would think being on this list multiple times (like Dick Van Dyke, the #1 selection, who's been on the list 9 times already) would be a badge of honor.
Also, what could have happened to elderly people in 2020 to make it a banner year, hmmm I wonder.

Worth looking at only to find out how many people you assumed were gone are still alive and kicking.

The first comment you're greeted with on the 2010 MF thread linked in the Previously is literally "What a deeply, deeply unpleasant site," which should have been a sign.

So my wife made me watch the end of Wicked with her yesterday. And you know what was really annoying? (Aside from everything?)
The number of times everyone kept calling the Wicked Witch by name. “Ephalba! What are you doing!” “Ephalba! Please come back!” “Ephalba! You’re going to get in trouble!”
There should be a Wicked drinking game where every time someone says “Ephalba!” you have to drink and by the end you’d be passed out.

Some of the requirements:
-Candidates must be famous enough such that their death is confidently expected to be reported by the UK “mainstream” mediaposted by achrise at 4:27 PM on January 2 [1 favorite]
-only 25 candidates can reappear from the previous year’s list
Eh, didn't bother to look, but there's one name I'd like to win that prize...

Looks like Kissinger's final appearance on the list was his 11th, so Van Dyke needs one more year to tie and another to beat him.
