Hit the Fan!

Hit the Fan! Here's a great little game that's been floating around my "to post" box for a few days just waiting for Flash Friday here at MeFi. The object is to propel a mound of fecal matter with your ping-pong paddle so that it connects with the rotary air circulation device. Once you get some practice, try springing one off the stapler or landing it in the coffee cup. Even better yet, go for a "Mac attack" and ricochette one off the iMac screen into the blades. They did a fairly good job of creating a sound effects for the moment when the caca hits the old ventilador too - so how can you lose?

3000 points for taking out the ceiling light. And yes, I did find out because I'm rubbish at it.

Extra points for staple flip too! But still, too damn difficult.

You get a nice mod (number of stars completed times score) for the special actions (brown stars). They seem to be:
-hitting the light
-hitting the mac
-hitting the cup
-hitting the stapler
-hitting the fan
-some distance
-hitting something
-forget the last one

You can find some fixed points and set up some of these so your shots combo multiples (mac, light, cup on one shot, etc).

I'm guessing you can get above 80 thousand, but so far I've only managed to get mid 60's.

It is a fun game.

Revmeg: just reading this already made my day.

Now we await the advanced version, RevGreg. You know, the one with the creek, without the paddle.

Reminds me a little bit of Glider Pro for the Mac. I think there's a web version of that somewhere. Anyone?

Where's the light?
If you hit the fan with high velocity, you get a power splatt bonus!

ahem....splat :)

I got a distance of over 1200 by driving the 'projectile' straight into the stapler at high velocity. But my high score so far is only 40,000.

This is great. Thanks, revgreg.

If you hit the fan three times in succession using the standard arc of descent (which I managed to do after about 8 attempts) you still get less than 20,000 points.

I was expecting some kind of accuracy bonus.

This is the shittiest game ever.

I got a 38,900, I can't get the bulb, mac and fan combo

In order the bonuses are:
*Coffee dunk/splash
*Stapler
*Mac
*Distance
*Splat
*Airtime
*Bulb

For the bulb, I've had best results by aiming above the coffee cup on the file cabinet and not using a full force shot. I haven't been able to achieve the stapler/fan bounce combo. The key is to get the bonuses.

Save the stapler/fan for the last shot.

Position the paddle as far tilted to the right as you can. It should point slightly downward. Pay attention as jamming the key to the right will cause some bouncing in the paddle which will prevent getting as far over as possible.

Jack up the power all the way and let fly. Every once and a while you will get a bit of a variation where it passes through the fan. This can be either solved by going through again or by lowering the power down a little.

You can get above 90,000 pretty consistantly.
