Trent Lott and the GOP grew up together in the South. They both have a painful secret. Newsweek cover story on the GOP. I suspect he quoted the same language in an effort to get in an ideological dig at oissubke. It seems a little juvenile, but whatever.

It's all in futility anyway, being that the link is to MSNBC Newsweek's front page and not the actual article. Neverminding the error in judgement of newsfilteritis, partisan bickering, etc. etc.
