The Trucker's Page is a site dedicated to the eighteen wheeled sub-culture driving alongside you everyday. Featuring essays, fiction, and even poetry dedicated to entertaining the mustached and mulleted kings of the road.
Man, that poem's way too serious. Can I submit my own?
Drivin' my eighteen-wheeler
Got naked chicks on my mud-flaps
Confederate flag 'pon my net-backed cap
I ain't got time to take a nap....
Cuz I'm drivin' my eighteen-wheeler
Pocket full of crystal meth
Tequila and jerky on my breath
I'm twenty tons of speeding death...
I'm drivin' my eighteen-wheeler
Runnin' over Geos, don't give a fuck
Each thirteen miles I make a buck
Be it Peterbilt or a Mack Truck...
I'm drivin' my eighteen wheeler

Ufez- I suppose your poem furthers certain trucking stereotypes, but it's hard to fault it because it kicks so much ass.

Thank you, Frank.
The truckers RAWK!
I saw them live, at a little joint in South St. Louis, and the club owner brought a bottle of Jack to the band, and after they were done with a shot each, the bottle was passed to the front two rows.
For those of you with um, file sharing, check out "Eighteen Wheels of Love", a surprisingly touching story which is a propos to the current thread.
They also have a double-disk album out called the Southern Rock Opera which explores the mythology of Southern Rock (it's about a fictional band called Betamax Guillotine, after the rumor that Ronnie Van Zandt - the leader of Skynyrd - was beheaded by a VCR when the plane crashed), and about the mythos of the South itself - including George Wallace, Bear Bryant, and airborne Oldmobile 4-4-2's.

Vidiot, thanks for posting the C.W. McCall link. I was trying to remember the story about how "Convoy" was related to Manheim Steamroller. I can't think of any commercials now that could spawn a movie and a concert tour.

Sweet holy Rubber Duck...
Vidiot, just took your link to the CW McCall page - and they have all the songs that aren't on the best of CD's! I don't even have the vinyl any more, and now I'm in hog heaven.
Shit, I've just been outed as a CB redneck. ;)
