Staggeringly weird MP3 collection over at April Winchell's blog. Everything from Hindi ABBA covers to hideous celebrity sing alongs from the likes of Hulk Hogan and Catherine "Daisy Duke" Bach. My favorite so far is the german cover of the theme music from Bonanza.fromCKB's blog.

Thank you so much for this treasure trove. I have been looking for the Herve Villechaize song "Why Do People Have to Fight?" on Kaaza with no success, but now my search has ended!!

Wow. Every time I thought I was nearing the end of the list, there would be a whole 'nother category full of great stuff. Don't miss the Dixie Power Trio cover of Stairway to Heaven.

Should you crave the originals, or feel the MP3 format doesn't to Gomer Pyle justice, you can aways get the Golden Throats cds at Amazon

Ahhhhh....I don't care if my company fires me, as long as I have Johnny Cash singing in German.

Wow, that's a lot of Web disk space! It's all so tempting, but it'll have to wait until I actually get a chance to LISTEN to a few of these first!
(She should make a MP3 stream for those things.)

April's father is the 50s and 60s icon Paul Winchell, a ventriloquist and children's variety show pioneer.

Folks, don't link directly to the MP3's on the website, all we'll get is a message that we're stealing bandwidth.

Abba's Dancing Queen in Hindi is actually, uh, pretty good. It's the Song of the Week at work!

More yodel. The classical overture medley by Mary Schneider is my favorite, and her rendition of the folk classic Clarinet Polka is awesome. Even better than the equally cheesy Hammond organ instrumental version by Burt Jackson Orchestra, which I've known and loved (sorry, no link).

Holy Shit
In the last 24 hours, I was linked by two of my favorite web sites, Memepool and Metafilter. My traffic today has gone up by 400%.
Oh sure, it's flattering, but it also means that you people are using about 9mgs of bandwidth per second.
