Original American Life Video Sills

Stills from Madonna's American Life self-banned video for those of you who are interested. Madonna over reacting, or publicity genius (personally I think she should have kept the video and self-banned the rap section).

Remember the "Like a Prayer" video that pissed so many people off, and got Pepsi to drop sponsorship? This is prolly the last nail in the coffin of any edge she had...

Why bother with stills when you can easily watch the whole thing?

That "rap" was really awful; I changed the channel when she started "rapping" about lattes and whatnot.

Let's hope this is the end of Madonna, but I expect she's got more lives than baby dangling freakazoid Michael Jackson. She might as well have done a press release saying "I'm against the war. Sort of, I think. Maybe. As long as it doesn't piss off my legion of fans." It's all so very Hollywood.
I heard that from a lot of webloggers as well, who I've since learned to ignore.
Goddamn, have an opinion and stick with it already!

Can I just say something? Thanks. Ahem.
I hate Jonas Ã…kerlund's work. I loathe his "ooh, I'm so controversial, me" stance. His storyboards are as interesting and chocking as a three-year-old going "fuck" once every two seconds. He shows no signs of finesse or intelligence in his frames, and the lighting is terrible.
Phew. I feel so much better now.

Yep, found it a waste of time. The "Madonna the attention whore" image is troubling and sad. The review posted by yeahyeahyeahwhoo is indeed right on.
What's worse, she's getting what she wanted by having us complain; it's not good attention, but it's attention.

Madonna is nowhere near as entertaining as reading and hearing people carp about Madonna.

So she gets to the end of the yellow brick road and discovers it's not all it's cracked up to be.
I could have told her that years ago.
If she is serious about feeling that way it's time to retire. The shark has been jumped.
and that latte crap...lyricists everywhere wept.

She's probably just worried that MTV wouldn't ban it that she took care of it herself. Maybe she just likes the way that "Madonna" and "Banned" look like in a headline.
