Unseen America. First person photographs by low income people. Via Bread and Roses, a cultural resource for the labour movement in the New York area.
The project is great, but the selection seemed a little thin. This page is the beginning of a much wider selection of the same project.

Just wonderful.
In the montage on the first page of the Bread and Roses link, does anyone recognize the very dignified-looking elderly black woman with braids? I'm sure I've seen that photograph before, and I can't for the life of me remember who she is.
