The game designers at Orsinal have been busy since we last discussed them, with a number of new amusing & lovely games. For those who haven't been there yet, and for those who haven't been there in a while, stop by and play... if only all flash animation were done with this degree of care and attention to aesthetic.
Orisinal is pretty incredible, even more so because it's all the work of one person, Ferry Halim (AFAIK.) I also know from experience that Ferry is not above answering newbie's questions about Flash game development.
I'm always on the lookout for people like this that develop games with an independent, DIY approach. gameLab, the makers of the recently posted Arcadia, was founded with the intention of spurring the growth of an indie game dev scene. Anyone know of any other folks working towards this goal?

this game is the worst.... stupid things are so damned cute, i feel guilty whenever i can't save'em...
my friend watched me play it once and when he first saw me lose one of the chickens, he screamed out loud, "how do you sleep at night?!?!"

Okay... I'm about to really embarrass myself, but is there a way to download these for offline use? I've never seen anything in Flash that I wanted to download... so I've never looked into it.

Send the developer a question directly - according to Fourmyle he'll be nice about it if you're polite to him (which I think is remarkable as well, for the record, that one person could have done all this).

Visi0n - Go into your system's cache of online content; look for anything ending in .SWF, copy it to another directory (so it doesn't get deleted), and enjoy.

Yeah! Thanks, Civil_Disobedient! You're the bomb! ... Or maybe the little shower of rain that I drop on dirty birds as I fly around to pretty, soothing, music.
