Super Sticky Fun

The launch page for Super Sticky Post It Notes has a creepy staged picture of a mom handing her daughter a post-it laden lunch box. Besides the creepy look on mom's face and the reminder post-it stuck to the outside of the front door, I also like how the writing on each post it is horizontal, regardless of the orientation of the post it. It's like one of those "can you pick out the 12 things wrong with this picture" games. I love advertising.

Maybe the Super Sticky Roadmap to Change could be applied to the Middle East as well.

Can't say I'm with you on that one.

That IS a funny picture - looks like the intro to a short on obsessive compulsive disorder. I wonder if they bought the pic from corbis then added the notes later....

From the Ready, Set, Go, Stick to It! page:

Did you make a New Year's Resolution? If you're like the majority of Americans, you did. But have you stuck to that resolution? Probably not..

Well F-U 3M, maybe I did stick to my resolution, thanks for the vote of confidence.

one of the weirdest things i've ever seen on a commercial site is this guy shooting out of a refrigerator on a sliced orange like a rodeo cowboy charging out of the chute on a bucking bronco. wtf was best buy thinking?

The same thing we all spend most of our time pondering: how can I (we) get quonsar to notice me (us)?

Well, some people write the note and then stick it, others stick it and then write.

But on the lunchbox, you would have to stick it, orient the box like you were handing it to your daughter, then write. But it looks like the woman needs two hands to hold the lunch box, so maybe someone else came by and wrote "Have a great day" mid hand off.

Post-it® Elves?

Post-it® Elves?

Or maybe Marilu Henner swings by and fills them in, the handwriting sample on her fromt page seems to match the notes text.

Marilu Henner talks about Super Sticky Post-It Notes.

So that's what happens to B-grade stars when even Nick at Nite stops showing their series.

Looking forward to "Larry Storch discusses Acco Jumbo Paper Clips."

What I don't get is why Mom decided to write "Have a great DAY!" on a Post-it note when she's standing right there. Maybe she isn't really Mom, but the maid. Maybe Mom is a bedridden lush, collapsed upstairs, and wouldn't recognize her own daughter even if she were emerging from her own uterus.

(Mom's uterus, not the daughter's)

In case you weren't sure how you would know if you are using Super Sticky Notes (of course, these are orchid colored!):

You'll know the new Post-it® Super Sticky Notes in four distinct ways:

- The packaging clearly says "Super Sticky."
- The unique daffodil, orchid and ocean colors make them stand out.
- On the back of each sheet, you'll see the Super Sticky logo.
- They're Super Sticky! This line of Post-it® Notes is designed to hold stronger and longer* then remove cleanly from most surfaces.

Oh my God, that made me laugh uncontrollably for two minutes, and I still haven't figured out why.

It's because the mailbox is OPEN!!! And the mail is spilling out! In real life a mailbox cowboy would have "broken" the mailbox to do his will and no spillage would have been permitted to occur. But here, that mailbox is kind of doing whatever!!!

Funny, funny stuff.

I don't get it. Why couldn't she have written the note, stuck it on the box, and handed it to her kid? Don't get me wrong--the photo is creepy, and the Post-It on the outside of the door is stupid, but why does the orientation of the Post-It on the lunchbox look odd to you?

how you would know if you are using Super Sticky Notes... The unique daffodil, orchid and ocean colors make them stand out.

But those color-efficient among us who would call them pastel orange, purple, and blue might still be confused as to what post-it breed we were using. Thankfully, they've clearly emblazoned them with a unique logo and made them stickier. So I'll never have to question what type of bastardized fly paper I'm using to turn my house into a Picture Dictionary.

I wonder if this will turn into something analogous to "Extra Strength" Tylenol. Can you by "Regular Ol' Non-Extra Strength" anymore? What's the point of saying it more strong, if its the new base unit? It's just like "New and Improved!" It's either a new product, or an improvement on an old product, therefore not new. It can't bloody well be both!
