Well, I didn't like boys anyway. Small loss.
Studies like this are just an excersize in how to make the facts suit your purpose, since it is the ah....'input' ....from the father that determines gender.

Sex may be determined by the sperm, but which sperm it is that makes it to the egg is affected strongly by the environment in which the sperm swim. Male sperm and female sperm aren't exactly the same, and tweaking things like the pH level can improve the chances of one type over the other.
That said, it would be interesting to find out whether the eating habits of the father have anything to do with it. I suppose you'd have to look at couples where the father is vegetarian and the mother isn't, and see if the correlation holds...

My experience supports this - we have two girls, and the wife has been strict vegetarian for many, many years... I've been 95% vegetarian for many years...
