This reminds me of the university student who got a grotesquely swollen neck from exposure to sewage that had dried in his apartment's air ducts (not for the squeamish: Apartment Horrors link).

Man, that link by rcade is harsh. Anyone living in an apartment (especially in North Carolina) ought to consider that guy's story.

from rcade's link: This is what I looked like a few hours after I changed the air filter and cleaned up some of the dust in the air ducts of my apartment.
This is precisely the reason that I try to stay away from a lot of "changing and cleaning". I have never once changed my air filter (actually, I don't even have an air filter... but even so...) or cleaned up any dust. Anywhere. And, look at me! Perfectly healthy!

rcade, that is disgusting. I have a hard time imagining the thought process, however, that leads to someone living in an apartment after it had been flooded with raw sewerage six times.
