Great link, hama7. I've only ever seen "Good Morning", but I thought it was fantastic. Funny, funny stuff. It's fascinating to look at from our post-turn-of-the-century perspective--especially if you're familiar with American influence on modern Japanese society. I'd love some hot young Japanese director to remake it today.

Awesome, I just watched Good Morning last week (netflix) and it was my first exposure to Ozu since college. Hopefully, some of his other work will make it to DVD.

Cheers, hama7. I saw a screening of Floating Weeds earlier this year, with Roger Ebert giving a frame-by-frame commentary. Lovely film.

frame-by-frame commentary???
Wow, that would be something...
Seriously though, Ozu smokes in any jacket.
