See, I misread the name as Merlinfest, and imagined some ren-fest, dungeons & dragons, roast turkey leg, minstral-laden mishmash, like DragonCon, but without the dignity.
Nevermind.

jpburns-
like DragonCon, but without the dignity

how funny that I was on the Merlefest site just yesterday, for the first time in a couple years, checking out the 2004 lineup.
The one time I was there I wound up drnking moonshine and playing guitars with some people late, late at night and Doc Watson himself wandered in through the trees, like an apparition, to join us for a few minutes. Strange, wonderful time.

An excellent mix of performers in 2004 will be there, including one legendary bluegrass performer himself. Of course, we can't forget Doc Watson, Bela Fleck, Catfish Keith, "Newgrass" newbies Nickel Creek, Zoe Speaks, the Savoy Doucet Cajun Band, Reckless Kelly, and Spider John - just to name a few.
Heck, there's even a flea circus!
