It's a cute site but I have one complaint. Why is the gribenes always optional? Our grandparents didn't think gribenes was optional. And we shouldn't tolerate this neglect of gribenes either.

I can get gribenes at my local butchers' shop, but I never, ever heard about anybody putting them in soup. They're deep fried goose skin bits, after all. They would lose their cripsy essence. I like them chopped and fried with potatos and onions.

Interesting timing - some of us will be dreaming of gefilte fish all day this coming Monday. Some years ago the BBC scheduled 'Jaws' a couple of hours after Kol Nidrei - I always wondered if it was deliberate.
