The White House redesigns its web page
Spin up front, navigation off to the side. Reminds me of a weblog. I always thought the original deisgn looked too much like the Vatican web site.

I don't know. I kinda like it. I agree with rschram. The old version of the whitehouse site was very Vatican-like and not appealing. This one is actually almost likeable.

It gives the impression of being saturated with self-importance. But we Americans have come to expect that from the White House.

Two words:

Eww.

Yeah, who does the graphics for the White House site? I could come up with something better than that, and I'm super-lame when it comes to that kind of thing. Oh well.

Oh man, you all are missing the point (while making good points about the hideous extrusions!)! The White House is coolest! You can read press briefings online. Now at least the look of the site is appropriate to some of the better functions.
I do have to agree that the photos and graphics are fugly!

The Vatican site also the coolest, in terms of press briefings ane e-encyclicals, but not that visually appealing.
