Walkie Talkie Man
A heck of a yarn of a song.
What promises to be one of the those super over hyped videos, see it now before it becomes passe.
And the song is pretty good too.

Gondry's a great director. Another video of his for Radiohead's "Knives Out" is here. His video for the White Stripes' "Fell in Love with a Girl" using Legos is even better than this yarn one, I think. Can't find a link for this last one, though.

I found it amusing that while they only depicted people knitting, many of the items they showed close ups of were, in fact, crocheted.
I imagine there are about 5 other people on metafilter who might also have found it amusing. Or at least noticed it, even if they didn't find it amusing.

I wondered if I was going mental, or if I saw crocheted final pieces there. How nitpicky of us needleworkers.
I am available for rock video work, I'll do a rock crochet puppet for oh...say....$5-10k. But it'll be worth every damn penny.

Warning! shameless plug ahead... if you're into this kind of stuff, check out the video collections of Gondry, Jonze and Cunningham I've seen all three and they're great.

I was probably the last person on earth to see that white stripes video. Very cool. the low res iconography reminded me of this.
