yup that guy
You not been following the thread trends of the last few day?

hahahaha: "We know that once a person is perverted, it is practically impossible for that person to adjust to normal attitudes in regard to sex."

I love that fact that in this worldview, a person can be 'perverted,' as if some naughty fairy decends through the smog and beknights you as an official pervert, just because you caught a peek of a buttock in a magazine.

Very nice find.

I've been drinking beer for the last ten hours and we just watched this movie about two hours before you posted it. Coincidence??!?

Archive.org is a great place. Do a search on any "interesting" topic and you'll get good results.

(Try out: nuclear, gay, duck and cover, tobacco, lsd, drugs...)

I just loved the way the announcer said the words lesbians, homosexuals... You could hear the affection in his voice.

So, I have not made myself clear: I mean: what controversy has Card been involved in that invites comparison to Mel Gibson?

[looks down a few posts]...I see. I knew Card was right winger, but hadn't seen the gay marriage thing...and thanks, great link.

Crunch, I posted in light of the arguements about Tolerance of religeous ides of moral, sex and whatever, cas in the trends of the threads about Mel's new movie, Card's comments on Same-sex marriage and others that have been in the foreground of late,, This was just poking fun at the whole argument, sheesss, I guess I needed a Fnord or snark in the comment too.

cool, sorry you posted as I was writing last comment, all forgiven?

hi-larious, you cannot make this stuff up.

part of it was almost like listening to jeopardy...

"confessions of a sadist"

"famous transvestites"

"how to buy a whipping"

the tone and inflection was so much like trebek's that it's just scary.

actually what's scary is that these people are still more or less in control of the us.

dammit canada, I am still waiting for you people to swoop down and liberate us.

I hope for this guy's sake, he didn't live to see the Internet.

The strange thing is, it IS preverted, I want a sequel!

heh, dgaicun I was thinking exactly the same thing.

spinning in his grave, sans doute.

/wanders off, triggered into compulsive acts of communist sex-violence with his stepford wife...

Actually, I think, a lot of these "reefer madness" and venereal disease type videos from that era weren't really as they appear to us. This movie, with its tiny nipple squares and supine, leathered up hussies was probably actually intended to excite and turn a profit, and the moral lecture served as a sneaky ink cloud to placate and confuse the virtue/vice commisions.

I don't feel like doing an internet search, but look for some of the history, this is crypto-porn.

Perversion for Profit linking pornography to the Communism

I thought Communists were against profit. Or perhaps that's merely a ruse. Capitalist Commie finks!

One Got Fat is probably the best of the films on the site

oooohhhh, now I know why 16 of the 19 major civilisations disappeared from the earth. I'd been wondering about that recently.
posted by dorian at 5:49 PM on February 26, 2004

I was wondering about that too, dorian. Egypt and Rome collapsed because of pr0n?

I don't know about pornography, but certainly obscenity could be linked to the wads of cash Keating made from what became the biggest (at the time) financial scandal in US history, that being the Savings & Loans scandal.

Much like the current obsession about gay marriage, this is notable in what it tries to distract attention from much more than in what it says.

Now communism is about tax money being diverted to the unworthy, is it not? And how does that terribly differ from the S&L fiasco? Inquiring minds want to know...

Oh my god, Elim! I watched "One Got Fat: Bicycle Safety" when I was a safety guard in fourth grade. We got to leave class and go to the library.

Best sentence in history: "This moral decay weakens our resolve against the onslaught of the communist masters of deception."
