Great fun...try shooting them at 90° for the "classic" Steve Martin look

man . . . if network play was supported, it could quite possibly be the best game of . . .well. right now.

me like, even though the computer put an arrow through my head on their second shot, I lived to kill him.
let's hear it for realism.

This is good fun. Nicely done on the blood spurts. Has anyone ever done a high res game like this?

Fun. Too easy with the index on, though.

i have a piece of grit on my screen that makes a perfect reference point. Set that bad boy to 11.25, pull it back to 100 and i can get headshots all day.
my life is so empty.
Great game though.

eddydamascene, thanks.
I turned the index off and turned the wind and wall options on, and this suddenly became a really fun little game.
There's some strange behavior in this game. The wind gets really strong, so much so that you sometimes have to shoot backwards to get the altitude to clear the wall and enough downward angle to hit your opponent. I almost shot myself a couple of times. In the second game, the wind got maxed out and stopped dying down or changing direction, and my opponent and I were up close to a tall wall, and couldn't hit each other. Finally he gave up, and just started shooting arrows straight up. They would blow about four screen-lengths off to the side every time.
Finally one flew out of the computer and hit my dog, which really pissed me off. He apologized all over the place, but I was really ticked, so I dragged him through the Internet to The Way of the Exploding Stick and kicked his ass all over the place.

Y'all know you need to diddle the options to make this a more challenging, slightly more entertaining game, right?
