Parisian Attack Monkeys used by thugs in place of guns. What would Charlton Heston say?
"you damned, dirty apes"?
(i like to state the obvious)

or
"Shit! Monkeys! Thank God for the right to bare arms!"
Followed by a loud "bang" and the sound of monkeys screaming.

I wouldn't put this past French kids. When I visited France with my friends last year, on two seperate occasions we were approached by groups of French teenagers who attempted to goad us into fights. After a few minutes, they'd pick up on our accents and taunt even more. When it came down to it though, both groups chickened out when they found out we were actually willing to defend ourselves instead of running away from the big bad grenouilles. In the first incedent, we were talking in front of a restraunt on the Champs Elysees and a group of kids simply interupped our conversation in order to taunt us. The second time, we were strolling down a street at night when a group of 13 year olds decieded to sneak up beind us and pursue a conflict.Dem's crazy Europeans. (although I wouldn't put worse past American kids)

Holgate,That Link to "Monkey Magic" is just evil. I can't believe I ever watched that show. Some people just have too much time on their hands. About the only thing worthwhile from the page is the drinking game.

Monkey! the TV series is fantastic. It was quite a hit here in Australia. They still repeat it from time to time. You are missing out on a lot there, jay.
For those who haven't heard of it, it's a japanese version of a Chinese folk story classic called Monkey : A Journey to the West.
Every Chinese kid grows up on the story about a monk's journey to India to obtain buddhist scriptures for the Emperor of China, accompanied by his three animal spirit companions, and the adventures that ensue. It was written down in the 16th century by Wu Cheng'en and it's really a funny book even to a modern non-chinese reader.
The TV series is actually very close in spirit to the book, especially in conveying the sense of humour and satire.
